These services extend beyond those offered by trash hauling companies or waste auditors. Strategic cuts your waste removal costs, improves your property’s appearance working on-site with your maintenance team and gives you environmentally conscious options. Strategic does not replace your trash-hauling company, instead manages them for you.

Rick Hilgert

Rick Hilgert Founder & President

Rick Hilgert was the founder and president of Reliable Electronic Manufacturing, Inc., (R.E.M.). Rick designed and developed two proprietary electronic processes; both processes were awarded United States patents. Rick sold R.E.M. in 1992 to Wyvern Technologies. It is at R.E.M. where he acquired the knowledge for proper electronic components disposal.

In 1996 he joined the investment firm of Global Resource Investments, where he conducted research, analysis, and investments on companies in the extractive industries. These included mineral mining, oil and gas, water, and alternative energy resources. During this time, Rick became acutely aware of the limited supply of these natural resources, as well as the need for the responsible management of their extraction. From this point forward it became his mission in business to include ecologically responsible programs designed to minimize the damage to our environment.

Rick´s wife has been in multi-family property management for over 20 years. Through her, Rick became aware of the problems associated with waste control inefficiencies. In 2006, he launched Strategic Sanitation Services, Inc. to address these issues and develop green solutions.

Rick Hilgert

Steven Reyes Vice President

Steven Reyes is a seasoned businessman and consultant with a successful track record in business startups, turnarounds and tech firms. He started his career in the apparel industry, beginning in sales and rising to General Manager and VP of Operations for two of Southern California´s most prestigious custom clothing businesses.

In 1995, Steven and a financial partner acquired California Window Corp., a technologically outdated and bankrupt manufacturing company. As its president, Steven developed and executed a turnaround plan which brought the company to profitability in 18 months and subsequently sold the company for a profit. In 1998, Epicor Software Corporation hired Steven to lead business development in Latin America. As Director, he was responsible for sales and consulting services in the region.

In 2002, Steven established BridgeTech LLC, a management consulting company. Through BridgeTech, he has offered services to companies requiring expertise in strategic planning, technology implementation, internet marketing and operations. Steven has a Bachelors degree in Business Management from California State University, Fullerton.
